The European Commission’s Science for Policy Forum: Leveraging Raw Materials to Strengthen EU Sustainable Competitiveness & Business Opportunities brings together policymakers, researchers, industry representatives and EU-funded projects to discuss how innovation, circularity and sustainable raw material management can strengthen Europe’s competitiveness. The event will also explore the role of critical and strategic raw materials in supporting key policy initiatives, including the Critical Raw Materials Act.
The REEsilience project will be represented by Project Coordinator Prof. Dr. Carlo Burkhardt during the session“Enhancing Circularity: Transforming CRM-rich waste streams into Strategic Assets for Europe” on 30 September 2026. The session focuses on innovative approaches to circularity and the transformation of critical raw material-rich waste streams into valuable resources for Europe’s green and digital transitions.
