SUMMARY:Dritev 2025
DESCRIPTION:The automotive congress Dritev ((DRIvetrain Transmission Electrification Vehicles) offers the powertrain community an optimal platform for exchange. Every year\, decision-makers\, experts\, and industry leaders from around the world meet in Baden-Baden. Here\, vehicle manufacturers and suppliers exchange ideas and early capture innovations\, developments\, and challenges in drive technology. During the two-day congress\, experts from OEMs\, suppliers\, and universities present practical lectures on new trends as well as classical topics in drive technology. Next year\, the community will meet again on July 9th and 10th in Baden-Baden to discuss the latest developments\, innovations\, and perspectives of various concepts in the field of powertrain and transmissions. \n  \n

SUMMARY:REPM 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Rare Earth Permanent Magnet Workshop is a biennial event that focuses on advances in the science and technology of rare earth permanent magnets. It highlights recent developments in the design and implementation of high-performance permanent magnets for energy applications. The workshop will cover both fundamental materials research in academia and developments in industrial applications such as motors\, generators\, and actuators. It will also address issues of rare earth resources and magnet recycling to assess life cycle sustainability. \nFundamental aspects of materials development will also include innovative computational methods such as machine learning and data-driven accelerated materials discovery\, novel alloy design approaches\, and advanced processing and characterization techniques. Proposals for alternative magnets without rare earth elements are also within the scope. \nREEsilience project coordinator Prof. Dr. Carlo Burkhardt will be joining the event as an invited speaker on the topic of ‘Recent development in recycling of RE permanent magnets of the RE-Fe-B type: Callenges and solutions’ on July 29\, from 1:50 pm to 2:10 pm. Project partner Prof. Thomas Schrefl from the University of Continuing Education Krems will also be present and give a talk titled ‘Artificial Intelligence Assisted Optimization of Permanent Magnets’ on July 31\, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm as well as a poster presentation by project partner Dr. Kristina Zuzek from the Jozef Stefan Institute. \nMore information: https://www.nims.go.jp/mmu/repm2025/
